Our Response to COVID-19
A Message from The Good Grocer CEO, Cathy Koch
At The Good Grocer, our purpose is to help you treat your friends and family (and yourself) with delicious and healthy snacks. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to create products that you can be proud of, that are worthy to represent your love and well wishes.
In this challenging time, we understand that at-home food delivery is going to be an important tool to help us all stay healthy and protect our loved ones. That’s why we have taken a number of steps in response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) threat.
· I have personally spoken with all of our suppliers to ensure they are practicing the highest standards in food safety. We trust every one of these vetted vendors and know they are taking this seriously! Be assured that every product we handle arrives to us prepackaged so there is no risk of contamination within our facility.
· We have also always practiced robust quality assurance, cleaning, and safety standards – we’ve reviewed and reinforced these practices and held a refresher course for all of our employees. We are also closely monitoring and following guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
· We offer our employees paid sick leave which now includes coverage for caregiving. We care deeply for all of our employees and will do whatever we can to keep them and their families healthy.
